Our Company:

Lavender Moon Soap Company studio is in Berryville, Virginia - a little town nestled in a beautiful valley between the Blue Ridge and the Shenandoah Mountains. The company originally started about ten years ago in New Hampshire by LynneAnn Trask. Over the years, the company has grown out of more than a few studios and has tried on a few different names, but has always stayed true to the quality and craftsmanship of its products.

They say the mother of invention is necessity...

LynneAnn Trask, interior designer turned entrepreneur, started her company like many entrepreneurs, with a need. She needed something constructive to do when she became a stay-at-home mom; she needed something creative to satisfy the artist in her, and most importantly, she needed something to soothe the very dry, flaky skin of her premature twins.

So with the spark of an idea and a lot of research and testing, mixing, pouring, packaging, marketing, etc., we offer the product we craft today. And those tiny, flaky babies have grown into wonderful pre-teens with great skin!
